Yi Chenggang works at the Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and is a doctoral supervisor. He has been engaged in plastic surgery for more than 20 years and specializes in breast reduction, mastopexy, implant-based breast augmentation, autologous fat breast augmentation, autologous fat transplantation, and other procedures.

Dr. Yi Chenggang's research directions include autologous fat transplantation, soft tissue regeneration, and breast plastic surgery. He has undertaken 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 1 subproject of the National Key Research and Development Program, and other research projects. In 2011, he won the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; in 2010, the First Prize for Military Medical Achievements; and in 2008, the Second Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2017, he was awarded “National Famous Doctor - Young Rising Star” in a selection organized by People's Daily Online and Health Times under the guidance of People's Daily and the National Health and Family Planning Commission; as first or corresponding author, he has published 33 SCI papers in internationally authoritative journals (including The Lancet).
